Personal information is exactly what it is – YOURS. You share your information with Star-Tastic Gymnastics Academy because you are interested in the classes we offer. But we can imagine that you would like to know why we ask for your personal information and what we do with it. We’re more than happy to tell you about this in here.

Star-Tastic Gymnastics Academy only uses personal data that you provide for the classes you have signed up for. This information is required so that we can contact you in case of an emergency. We use the following data:

2. Security
We protect all information you provide us using the most modern techniques. Our database is stored with Active Network or LoveAdmin. Both take seriously their responsibility to protect and safeguard data and are working to ensure that our products and services are GDPR compliant. We are making changes to our contracts with our business partners to reflect the new requirements under the law.
3. Storage Periods
We keep personal data for as long as necessary. We then store the data for a maximum of two years for our own purposes. The data will then be erased unless the law requires us to keep it longer. For example, the law obliges us to keep payment records for seven years.
4. Purposes
We use the data we receive from you for different purposes. Here you can read which purposes that are:
- Information of Gymnasts and Parents: Obviously, we use the data to ensure we have accurate records of every gymnast in our classes. This is so we know any relevant contact information in case we need to contact you during a class or to inform you of upcoming club events such as competitions.
- Medical information is collected for obvious reasons.
- Advertising: We understand that you want to know about all of the amazing classes we offer. After giving us permission, you can receive notifications of this through e-mail or social media.
5. Third Parties
It is possible that we pass on the data to companies with which we partner, so-called ‘third parties’. These companies help us to run as a club. These ‘third parties include but are not limited to; IGA – our governing body. This is for purposes such as entering competitions. IGA will not use your information or sell it.
7. Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
